The “Neues Museum Berlin”  (new museum) constructed between 1843 and 1855 and designed by Friedrich August Stüler, the Neues Museum constitutes a key work in the history of art, museum and technology in the
19th century.  After its closing for 70 years (!) it was re-opened on 19th of Octobre!

David Chipperfield won the international architectural competition with his idea of an historical honest concept. Which menas taht the lost rooms and sections of the building have been structurally rebuilt, without being mere copies of the historical original. The facades and interior spaces have been carefully preserved in the restoration work, with respect paid to the visible traces of the events of the past on the memorial building in the process. Really worth seeing!

Personal opinion: ***** (!)

But besides beeing an architecural highlight it is also hosting one of the most famous agyptian collections!

In 2006 a footbal team was founded at the faculty of build environment.
The team is playing in the 3rd student footbal league Berlin.
If you are interested in playing for a longer period (1 year /1year+)

you’re sincerely invited to the regular (weekly) training.
